The NJHA NJSN Donation Advocacy Forum, “Together We Can – Honor the Gift,” provides healthcare professionals with an overview of organ and tissue donation and the critical role hospitals play in supporting the donation process. The program will explore the connection between donation and the healthcare community, provide an overview of the organ and tissue donation process, and review applicable regulatory requirements and considerations.

Through clinical and organizational perspectives, participants will also examine donor management practices and strategies to maximize the gift of donation. The program will address ways hospitals can foster a culture of donation through collaboration, education, communication, and shared responsibility. Interactive discussion and questions will provide an opportunity for participants to connect the information presented to their hospital practices and identify opportunities to support donation outcomes.
