This course prepares pediatric providers to identify and respond to suicide risk, homicidal ideation, and human trafficking in both telehealth and in-person visits. Participants will learn to screen effectively, document concerns, involve caregivers, and take appropriate action to ensure safety across care settings.
The Garden State Patient Safety Center - a federally certified Patient Safety Organization (PSO) - recognizes that finding robust answers and strategies to complex clinical issues can sometimes be challenging. PSO Safe Tables are forums where healthcare professionals from across NJ can discuss patient safety experiences, share best practices, and participate in shared learning. The setting provides a safe, confidential environment that allows healthcare professionals to discuss challenges with the ultimate goal of quality improvement and patient safety.
This program is funded by the HRSA Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program FAIN# U4C32317 via the NJ Department of Health.
